Woah! I blogged!

Looking through my website today, I've realised it's been 12 whole months since I last blogged...oh dear! 2016 is going to a year of blogging for me, so get ready people!

I thought I'd start off letting you all know about my big move and the exciting plans I have for Avalind Photography in 2016!

At the end of last year, after 12 years with the same company, I left my awesome but high pressure job in livestock production and farm supplies to pursue my photography dream full-time. It was such a massive decision and I was constantly swinging between feeling relieved, freaked out, excited, nervous, sad and happy, but I have to say once I'd made my decision, I had an overwhelming feeling of calm. Like a weight had been lifted and that this is what I am meant to do. Why? Because I truly love recording a little bit of your family history for you! And because seeing people's smiling faces appear on my screen for editing, also makes me smile. I have never been happier!

So what's in store for 2016?

Here's a sample!

* Perth WA mini-sessions - 12th March 2016, location TBA

* Road trip to Lawn Hill Gorge and onto the Gulf in Queensland - July 2016, details of session availability on my way there and back will be posted soon!

* "The Making of Your Manuscript" workshop with renowned author Fleur McDonald, Orroroo SA - July 2016, yes this means I have a super exciting little project that I will share with you all soon!

* On farm mini-sessions - 24th September 2016 at my property "Little Avalind", 31 Eulimore Rd, Eugowra NSW

I'll post more about the farm mini-sessions in the coming months, but just to whet your appetite here's a couple of images from my little farm that will be used for the sessions. Can you see your family being photographed here?! I can!

Until next time (and I promise I'll blog again soon haha!)
